Dear diary, the game I played.today is called "Meltdown".

Meltdown

You are Zed. You are to shut down the AI gone rampant on some planet or platform. Go get 'em!

In this top down shooter you're fioghting robots while finding your way to the end of each level.

The game is fun at first but gets a bit repetitive. That's not surprising seeing how it's a mobile port. But to their credit, they removed the pay2win bits from it so that's at least good.

Unfortunately the level design is pretty stale. IT doesn't take long to figure out the pattern and it never really changed throughout my playthrough. This means that it's fun to play for a while but I think half'n'hour was enough for me.

The game sports an unlock system. This is where the pay2win factor trickles through, though you're not explicitly confronted with it. The menus are also a bit clunky for the mouse and that's just unfortunate.

I was surprised to find out it was indeed a mobile game because the graphics are quite good. Unfortunately the same can't be said about content variety.

Also, why can't you push the care off the ledge? Come on!

(The recording seems to lag at certain points. I'm not sure what's up with that. I had no problems playing the game.)

Verdict: While initially a fun game to play it gets very stale quickly. The "portness" of the game is quite obvious but it's not a bad port. It's like they built the game core and forgot to add more variety content to it.

Familiarity: Not played before
