Dear diary, the game I played.today is called "Owys".

#82

Owys

There's no story. You're a fuzzy little something and have to get to the exit portals.

The game is straightforward as platformers go. You jump on or over obstacles and collect stuff.

Implementation is kind of crap though. It starts you off relatively simple and than BAM a level that seems to be sheer RNG to survive.

That's also where the collision detection shines; it's not very good and you'll find yourself dying to collisions that never happened.

Basically it's a difficult game that seems a bit unfair as well, due to implementation issues, limited lives per world, and unwarranted lag.

Verdict: It looks kinda nice, great for VR, but that's where it ends for me. It's a difficult unfair unpolished game with bad handling and collision detection. For a platformer that's clearly meant to be difficult, good implementation is crucial and that makes a bad thing worse.

Familiarity: Not played before
